Abstract The title of this research is "Public Opinion on Government Policy at the Elementary School Level during the Covid-19 Pandemic". Public opinion is a collection of individual opinions on a particular issue that affects a group of people (society). The purpose of this research is to analyze public opinion on government policies (distance learning methods) related to covid-19 at the elementary school level during the pandemic. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The indicators used to support in this study are attitude indicators with three variables namely Affect (Feeling), Behavior and Cognition (Reasoning). Data analysis techniques use statistic descriptive which is a method used to describe or analyze a research result but is not used to make broader conclusions. The samples used in this study were as many as 90 respondents. Based on the results of the research, the majority of respondents argued that distance learning methods give them enough free time to be with children on the grounds that they can understand the attitudes and character of children more deeply besides that they still do not support the existence of distance learning methods on the grounds that they can make their children more opiate in playing mobile phones/ gadgets.
