ABSTRAC Student Identity Cards (KTM) at Bhayangkara University Surabaya (UBHARA) which contain the identity of card owner students, can be developed into Electronic Student Identity Cards (e-KTM) using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. With this development e-KTM can be used for various automated systems. One such system is class attendance to reduce dishonesty of student attendance in class. In addition, e-KTM is used for attendance to facilitate lecturers in student attendance and facilitate officials in collecting attendance data every month. To get convenience, the e-KTM system must be able to run automatically by using electronic technology. To reach the system, this study makes the relationship between e-KTM, NFC Reader, Computers, and Servers, and data stored in the Database. The types of relationships used include Radio Frequency (RF) which is used between e-KTM and NFC Reader, USB communication used between NFC Reader and computers, and internet networks that connect computers to servers. The results of this study are very fast, effective, and efficient in conducting student attendance. Because it only requires one NFC Reader for attendance for all courses and makes it easy for all parties.
