ABSTRACK This study aims to determine the implementation of legal protection of Intellectual Property Rights for batik designers in Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo. This research takes the formulation of the problem: 1) What is the legal arrangement regarding batik designer intellectual property rights in Sidoarjo? 2) How is the implementation of legal protection for intellectual property rights of batik designers in Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo ?. This study uses a juridical-sociological approach to primary data sources obtained from the field and secondary data sources from documentation and legislation and data collection techniques in the form of interviews with Respondents namely Mr. Zainal Korim, then the research data is analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of the research in Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo, it was found that imitation of batik designer works was necessary for registration of industrial design rights.
